Medhavi Skills University’s undergraduate students recently embarked on an exposure visit to the sacred Khechuperi Lake with an aim to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of pilgrimage tourism, eco fragile destinations and customer service. The students also learned about the historical significance of the lake during the visit.
To further enrich their experience, a resource person, Mr. Latop, gave a hands-on demonstration of making pizza in the traditional Italian oven. This not only gave the students a taste of Italian cuisine, but also provided them with practical knowledge about basic cooking techniques.
The exposure visit to the Khechuperi Lake was a step towards best practices in the tourism industry and aimed at providing students with practical exposure to real-world scenarios. The objective of the trip was to help students understand the importance of sustainable tourism and its impact on the environment and local communities.
The students were also given a brief on the historical and cultural significance of the lake, which is considered sacred by the local community. They were made aware of the measures taken to preserve the delicate ecosystem and the role that tourism plays in supporting the local economy.
All in all, the exposure visit to the sacred Khechuperi Lake provided the students with a unique opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of tourism. The experience was a valuable learning opportunity and helped students understand the importance of responsible and sustainable tourism practices.
