The event marked a significant milestone in the state’s skilling journey, bringing together young talent across multiple high-demand trades.
The competitions covered Health & Social Care and Cloud Computing, following the successful completion of earlier district-level rounds in Beauty Therapy and Cooking held across Gangtok, Bermiok, Gyalshing, and Karfectar. This year witnessed remarkable participation, with 265 competitors in Health & Social Care, 128 in Beauty Therapy, 60 in Cooking, and **29 in Cloud Computing—**reflecting the growing enthusiasm for skill-based excellence among youth in Sikkim.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries from the Skill Development Department, SICB, and the leadership of Medhavi Skills University, who commended the participants for their dedication and professionalism. Competitors were evaluated through a robust and transparent assessment framework that included MCQs curated by NSDC experts, hands-on practical tests, and a communication skills evaluation, ensuring alignment with national standards.
With the successful completion of the state-level rounds, the top two performers from each trade have now qualified to advance to the regional stage of ISC 2025, carrying forward Sikkim’s aspirations on a larger competitive platform.
A heartfelt note of appreciation goes out to the dignitaries, expert judges, organising committees, and the dedicated MSU team whose collective efforts ensured the smooth execution and grand success of this prestigious skilling event. Through initiatives like these, MSU continues to strengthen its role in advancing skill excellence and empowering future-ready professionals in Sikkim.
