Medhavi Skills University (MSU) successfully organized a First Aid and CPR Hands-on Training Session at Mangzing Secondary School, West Sikkim, on 9th October 2025. The initiative was designed to empower students and staff with vital life-saving skills, ensuring they are well-prepared and confident to act promptly and effectively in times of medical emergencies.
The session was led by Ms. Aityhang Subba, Adjunct Faculty, School of Health Science and Technology, along with two dedicated student volunteers from MSU. Together, they conducted live demonstrations of CPR techniques and guided participants through practical first-aid procedures for managing common medical situations such as injuries, burns, bleeding, and fractures. The hands-on approach enabled participants to gain not only theoretical knowledge but also the practical confidence required to handle real-life emergencies responsibly.
The enthusiastic participation of students and teachers turned the session into an engaging and highly interactive learning experience. Through demonstrations, discussions, and question–answer rounds, participants understood the crucial role of immediate response and timely medical assistance in saving lives before professional help arrives.
This initiative is a testament to MSU’s unwavering commitment to community engagement, health awareness, and holistic, skill-based education. By extending learning beyond the classroom, MSU continues to promote a culture of preparedness, responsibility, and social contribution—empowering individuals to make a real difference in their communities.
