Nutrition Month and Blood Donation Camp 2025 Highlights

Sep 24, 2025

The initiative was held alongside a community Blood Donation Camp at the MSU campus, bringing together faculty members, final-year students, and enthusiastic volunteers in a spirit of service and health awareness.

The counselling session provided personalized dietary guidance to nearly 25 adult donors, emphasizing crucial aspects of nutrition and recovery after blood donation. Key highlights included the importance of maintaining adequate hydration, consuming iron-rich foods to aid blood regeneration, and following safe recovery practices. The session also addressed and dispelled common myths related to diet and blood donation, helping donors better understand the role of nutrition in ensuring a smooth recovery.

The initiative was warmly appreciated by participants, who found the advice both practical and reassuring. By combining academic expertise with community outreach, MSU once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting holistic health and well-being. This effort not only supported individual donors but also reinforced the university’s broader vision of advancing public health through education, research, and social responsibility.
