The education system at Medhavi Skills University is not just textual learning alone, it encompasses a vast field of Skill that enables the student’s holistic development. The student’s choice of subject should reflect student’s interest and ability. It should also consider the possible career aspirations the students may have.
Medhavi Skill University aims to provide an approach where the university focuses more on practice in choosing a career rationally. The students understand the subject and acquire information through practices. Moreover, the university provides employment opportunities to its students, since the university is in partnership with 100+ industries.
The reason for this unique practical approach comes from an observation that students despite their dedication to studies are accustomed to ‘rote learning’. The students lack in understanding the process and the practical application of the subjects. As a result, the students find themselves at lost when they encounter the practical world.
However, the University build students through practices and skill development because for one reason: knowledge gained via practical applications, such as survey, real-world projects, or educational excursions, are those that are carried by the students for a long time. Practical learning allows students to put what they’ve learned in the classroom into practice.
Recently the students of Singtam Campus who have taken Open Skill Elective (Brand Promotions and Marketing) conducted a survey on small businesses in the vicinity and have had a great experience on the various dimensions of Marketing. The exposure activity covered areas relating to Marketer’s perspective of the products and services. Student teams, as an end outcome, are expected to propose a Marketing plan for the firm that they visited.
The choices should reflect
the learner’s interests and ability. It should also consider the possible career aspirations the learner may have. Career guidance aims to provide an informed approach to choosing career rationally, with limited coercion. Thus, learners can choose from the curriculum in order to pursue education that will land them in their chosen careers.
