BSC in Operational Theater Technology

Operation Theater Technology, situated at the most important and highest peak of healthcare and technology, is a crucial component in ensuring the seamless functioning of surgical procedures. The program in Operation Theater Technology empowers students with comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment management, and patient care within the operating theater environment. Operation Theater Technology is a dynamic field that offers students the opportunity to manage, assist, and execute surgical procedures under supervision, adhering to strict regulations. This program opens avenues for diverse career paths including Clinical and Corporate training in surgical devices, thereby enhancing employability within society.


The structure of the program encompasses a 2-year diploma followed by a 3-year bachelor's degree, including a clinical internship. This integrated approach ensures that students receive both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, thereby preparing them for real-life career opportunities in the field of Operation Theater Technology.

Note: * Duration for Paramedical programmes (MLT/RIT/OTT/DT/EMT/OPTOMETRY) may extend by 3 months to 1 Year (Approx) to include Internship/On the Job Training for the awarding of Degree/Diploma as per the guidelines (if any) from State Allied and Healthcare Council, Sikkim.
