Brew & Learn: The Art of Tea
About the Event
The School of Hospitality & Tourism at Medhavi Skills University organised the event, “Brew & Learn: The Art of Tea”, an experiential workshop aimed at bringing classroom learning into a practical setting and deepening students’ understanding of beverage studies.
The session was led by Mr Soosai Savari Selvam, Chairman, The Tea Academy, Siliguri, who drew from his extensive industry experience to offer valuable perspectives on the art and science of tea. His engaging approach encouraged interaction and thoughtful discussion throughout the session.
Students were introduced to different tea varieties, correct brewing techniques and the basics of tea tasting, along with insights into industry standards and practices. The hands-on nature of the workshop made the learning meaningful and reinforced Medhavi Skills University’s focus on practice-driven education and industry engagement.
