Exploring Sustainable Entrepreneurship at Crafted Fibers

About the Event
Students from the School of Management & Commerce, Medhavi Skills University, visited Crafted Fibers in Namthang, Sikkim, gaining valuable exposure to sustainable textile manufacturing and entrepreneurship. The visit brought together 25 students from B.Com, BBA and BA (Office Administration & Technology) programmes.
Students explored various stages of production, from raw material processing, spinning and natural dyeing to weaving, quality control and product finishing. An interactive session with the founder and team offered insights into sustainable business models, artisan welfare, supply chain management and community-based entrepreneurship.
A student-led podcast interview with the founder added a practical dimension to the experience, strengthening students’ communication and interviewing skills while inspiring them to explore socially responsible entrepreneurial opportunities.
