International Yoga Day Celebrated with a Focus on Holistic Health and Well-being

About the Event
International Yoga Day was celebrated with a Holistic Wellness Session organised by NEP Saarthi at the Teesta Seminar Hall. The session focused on yoga, meditation, nutrition awareness and mental well-being, highlighting the importance of adopting a balanced lifestyle and incorporating mindful practices into daily routines.
The session was conducted by Rohit Sinha and Nikita Biswakarma, Bachelor of Physiotherapy students, who guided the participants through various wellness practices and shared insights on the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health. Both students have completed a 200-hour Teacher Training Course under a Registered Yoga School, which enabled them to bring structured knowledge and practical understanding of yoga, mindfulness and wellness practices to the session. Aligned with the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, the session emphasised the role of yoga in improving physical strength, enhancing mental resilience and promoting holistic wellness among individuals across all age groups. Through interactive activities and awareness sessions, the initiative reinforced the importance of preventive healthcare and encouraged the university community to prioritise wellness as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle.
The event served as a platform to create greater awareness about the significance of self-care, healthy practices and the integration of wellness into everyday life. By bringing together students and members of the university community, the session reflected Medhavi Skills University’s commitment to promoting a culture of health, mindfulness and overall development beyond academic learning.
