MSU and NIOS Sign Landmark MoU to Strengthen Skill-Integrated Education
About the Event
In a major step towards strengthening India’s education-to-employment ecosystem, Medhavi Skills University and the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance pathways between school education, vocational education and higher education across the country.
The MoU was formally signed by Col. Shakeel Ahmad, Secretary, NIOS, and Shri Kuldip Sarma, Hon’ble CoFounder & Pro Chancellor of Medhavi Skills University.
Aligned with NEP 2020 and the National Credit Framework, the collaboration aims to create seamless pathways between education, skilling and employability through industry-aligned learning, credit mobility, apprenticeship-embedded programmes and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). It also focuses on strengthening digital learning integration, expanding access to rural learners, improving industry participation in curriculum design, and enabling lifelong learning opportunities for working professionals, while also supporting capacity building initiatives for educators and institutional partners across regions.
