Medhavi Skills University (MSU) marked World Optometry Day with a series of impactful activities aimed at promoting eye health and vision care. Organized by the Department of Optometry, the event began with an awareness rally in Topakhani and Singtam, where over 40 students and faculty members spread the message of preventive eye care. The event was graced by Dr. Siddharth Shankar, Dr. Ayan Chatterjee, and Mr. Rishi Thapa, who encouraged the participants. A free eye screening camp benefitted 30+ individuals, with several referred for further treatment. The celebration concluded with a cultural program, ‘Optic Odyssey’, showcasing student creativity and talent.

Medhavi Skills University (MSU) marked a memorable presence at Kaalrav-2025, the prestigious inter-university cultural fest hosted by Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Showcasing creativity and skill across diverse performances, MSU students brought home remarkable achievements. Highlights included the Runners-Up position in Group Dance and Battle of Bands, and Winner in Freestyle Rap. Talented students like Manzil Thatal, Mahima Rai, Kalpana Newpani, Sumon Lepcha, Abishek Gurung, Sheriya Manager, Anusha Chettri, Absalom Rasaily, Bishes Kami, and Palzor Sherpa led the way with outstanding performances. Special thanks to Faculty Coordinator, Mr. Prakash Chettri, and student coordinators for their guidance and support.

Medhavi Skills University (MSU), in collaboration with Singtam District Hospital, successfully observed Deworming Day as part of a nationwide health initiative. The event focused on raising awareness about the importance of deworming to prevent intestinal worm infections and promote better health among students. Healthcare professionals from Singtam District Hospital conducted informative sessions, highlighting the impact of parasitic infections and preventive measures. A deworming drive was also organized, where students and faculty members received Albendazole tablets following government guidelines. This initiative reflects MSU’s commitment to ensuring student well-being, fostering a healthier community, and promoting informed health practices within its campus.

Medhavi Skills University (MSU) celebrated a historic milestone with its first convocation at Chintan Bhavan, Gangtok, honoring the achievements of our foundation batch. Shri Raju Basnet, Honourable Minister for Education, Govt. of Sikkim, was the Chief Guest, with Prof. Mahendra P Lama as Guest of Honour. MSU dignitaries included Mr. Pravesh Dudani (Founder & Chancellor), Mr. Kuldip Sarma (Co-Founder & Pro-Chancellor), and Dr. Amiya Singh (Pro Vice-Chancellor). Over 100 students received degrees, with gold medals awarded to Radhika Chettri, Uma Kumari Sharma, and Bandhana Subba. This event reinforces MSU’s mission of delivering industry-integrated, skill-based, future-ready education.

Students showed enthusiastic participation and interest in registering for VBYP, while MSU NSS volunteers remain committed to ensuring maximum involvement in this nationwide youth-driven initiative.
