The visit commenced with an engaging orientation session conducted by Mr. M. Jamal, Assistant Dean, School of Management and Commerce, who highlighted MSU’s vision of bridging education with industry. This was followed by a guided campus tour, where students explored key academic schools including the School of Management and Commerce, Computer Science and Engineering, the School of Health Science and Technology, and the School of Hospitality and Tourism. During the tour, the students actively participated in interactive sessions within departmental labs and observed real-world demonstrations of practical skills. These hands-on experiences offered them valuable insights into how MSU integrates theoretical learning with industry-relevant practice, equipping learners to meet future employability demands. The day concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where the students were warmly acknowledged for their participation. On September 12, 2025, Evolve by Meritto – Kolkata Chapter brought together leading voices from academia and industry to explore the evolving landscape of higher education. Driving conversations on the future of learning, our Founder & Chancellor, Mr. Pravesh Dudani, shared his perspectives on the transformative role of technology in admissions and student engagement. He highlighted how Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing allocation processes, enabling institutions to make smarter, data-driven decisions while reimagining how students connect with universities. His forward-looking session shed light on the critical shifts shaping higher education, offering a glimpse into the possibilities of a more efficient, inclusive, and technology-enabled future. The dialogue was further enriched by the insights of distinguished leaders including Prof. (Dr.) Ankita Chakravarty Bhattacharya (Adamas University), Prof. Dr. Tirthankar Datta (Camellia Group), Mr. Sanjib Kumar Das (Bandhan-Konnagar Group), and Rev. Dr. Xavier Jeyaraj S.J. (St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata). This vision was recently reflected in the remarkable achievement of our student, Prenisha Thakuri, pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering. Prenisha proudly represented Sikkim at the prestigious North East NSS Festival and secured the 1st position in the presentation competition on the theme “Culture, Diversity, and Demography of the State.” Competing against participants from seven other states, she showcased not only her knowledge but also the power of dedication, skill, and determination. Her accomplishment is a testimony to how MSU’s focus on holistic learning empowers students to excel beyond academics. Adding to this success, 10 other MSU students actively participated in the festival, receiving appreciation for their outstanding performances across multiple events. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and spirit of teamwork highlighted the culture of excellence that defines MSU. This collective achievement underlines the strength of MSU’s skill-driven education model, which equips students with the ability to transform opportunities into success. The initiative was held alongside a community Blood Donation Camp at the MSU campus, bringing together faculty members, final-year students, and enthusiastic volunteers in a spirit of service and health awareness. The counselling session provided personalized dietary guidance to nearly 25 adult donors, emphasizing crucial aspects of nutrition and recovery after blood donation. Key highlights included the importance of maintaining adequate hydration, consuming iron-rich foods to aid blood regeneration, and following safe recovery practices. The session also addressed and dispelled common myths related to diet and blood donation, helping donors better understand the role of nutrition in ensuring a smooth recovery. The initiative was warmly appreciated by participants, who found the advice both practical and reassuring. By combining academic expertise with community outreach, MSU once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting holistic health and well-being. This effort not only supported individual donors but also reinforced the university’s broader vision of advancing public health through education, research, and social responsibility.
