At the prestigious Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) India 2nd International Conference & Education Excellence Awards 2025, our Founder & Chancellor, Mr. Pravesh Dudani, represented Medhavi Skills University (MSU) on a high-impact panel discussion titled “AI and Merging Tech: Skills for the Future Workforce – Industry 5.0.”Drawing from MSU’s pioneering model of integrating skills with higher education, he highlighted how academia and industry can co-create a future-ready workforce aligned with the evolving demands of emerging technologies.The panel also featured several distinguished leaders shaping the future of education and industry, including Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Prof. Sibaram Khara, Dr. Rajul K Gajjar, Vineet Gupta, Sakshi A., Adrian Mutton, Prof. Dhowmya Bhatt, and Rittika Chanda Parruck, and Ms. Rittika Chanda Parruck.Together, the panel explored the synergy between universities and industries in shaping the workforce of tomorrow — emphasizing curriculum innovation, digital adaptability, and global collaboration as the pillars for success in the Industry 5.0 era.Mr. Dudani’s participation reaffirmed Medhavi Skills University’s commitment to leading the national dialogue on future-ready education and employability, positioning MSU as a key driver in shaping India’s skilled and tech-enabled future workforce.

As part of this community health initiative, nursing students from Medhavi College of Nursing engaged directly with local residents—bridging academic learning with real-world application. The students collaborated closely with healthcare professionals, conducted awareness sessions, and promoted preventive healthcare practices focusing on women’s health and wellbeing. The event not only provided students with valuable hands-on exposure but also reinforced MSU’s commitment to experiential learning, community engagement, and women empowerment. The Department of Student Affairs at Medhavi Skills University (MSU) successfully organized the first meeting of Class Representatives (CRs), marking a significant step toward enhancing student leadership and institutional communication. The session aimed to define the roles and responsibilities of Class Representatives while fostering a strong communication channel between the student body and the university administration. The Pro Vice-Chancellor addressed the gathering, sharing the vision behind this initiative and emphasizing the importance of leadership, teamwork, and accountability in maintaining harmony and effective coordination within the university community. He encouraged the CRs to act as proactive bridges between students and the administration, ensuring that every student’s voice is heard. Throughout the meeting, CRs were briefed on their core responsibilities—representing student concerns, maintaining discipline, encouraging participation in university events, and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. The event concluded on an enthusiastic note, with the Class Representatives expressing their commitment to contribute meaningfully to MSU’s growth and student welfare. The meeting set a constructive tone for nurturing student-driven leadership and collaborative progress within the university.

The Departments of Nutrition & Dietetics and Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) under the School of Health Science and Technology, Medhavi Skills University (MSU), jointly organized a Health Camp at the Senior Secondary School, Kitam. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare awareness and provide hands-on learning opportunities for MSU students. During the camp, students from the EMT department conducted basic health check-ups including vital assessments, blood pressure (BP), and SpO₂ monitoring, ensuring the school students received personalized health insights. Meanwhile, students from the Nutrition & Dietetics department carried out BMI evaluations and offered individual nutrition counselling, emphasizing the importance of balanced diets in daily life. The event also featured an engaging demonstration on proper handwashing techniques to highlight the role of hygiene in preventing infections. To further strengthen health literacy, an interactive dietary awareness session was held, helping participants distinguish between healthy and unhealthy food choices. The camp successfully reached 30 students from Classes 9 and 10, encouraging them to adopt healthier lifestyle habits while broadening the practical exposure of MSU’s budding healthcare professionals. This initiative reflects MSU’s commitment to integrating classroom learning with community engagement, empowering students to apply their skills for societal well-being and fostering a culture of preventive healthcare awareness across local communities.

The Department of Optometry, School of Health Science and Technology, Medhavi Skills University (MSU), organized a series of community outreach programs aimed at promoting preventive eye health and vision care across Sikkim. As part of this initiative, Eye Screening Camps were held on 19th September 2025 at Sumbuk Senior Secondary School, South Sikkim, and on 25th September 2025 at Lower Syari Government Secondary School, Gangtok. The camps focused on spreading awareness about eye health and providing basic eye care services to school students, teachers, and community members. A total of 123 individuals underwent screening for various eye conditions, including refractive errors, presbyopia, and eye trauma. The key activities comprised vision screening, refraction tests, detailed case history taking, and referral of complex cases such as exotropia for further specialized care. In addition to the screenings, interactive awareness sessions were conducted to emphasize the importance of regular eye check-ups, preventive measures, and maintaining good eye hygiene. The initiative saw the active participation of 5th-semester Optometry students, guided by Ms. Jyoshnika Huzuri, who gained valuable hands-on clinical experience while serving the community. The program exemplified MSU’s commitment to experiential learning and community health development, reinforcing its vision of integrating skill-based education with social impact.
