The MoU was formally signed by Shri Kuldip Sarma, Co-Founder & Pro-Chancellor, MSU, and Hon’ble Dr. Priya Ranjan Swarup, Director General, CIDC; Former Member, State Planning Board–Tripura & Former Member, Planning & Monitoring Board, Ladakh. This landmark partnership marks the beginning of a transformative journey aimed at reshaping the skilling ecosystem of one of India’s largest and fastest-growing sectors. The signing ceremony took place in the esteemed presence of Mr. Rajeev Jain, Senior Director (VT), CIDC; Mr. S. N. Murthy Vaddadi, Senior Director (Finance & Administration), CIDC; Mr. Onkareshwar Pandey, CEO – Golden Signatures; and Mr. Devender K. Saini, Group Chief Strategy Officer, MSU, along with other distinguished dignitaries. Through this collaboration, MSU and CIDC will jointly roll out large-scale skilling, upskilling, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) initiatives across the construction and infrastructure ecosystem. The partnership also opens pathways for work-integrated degree programmes, national apprenticeship opportunities, and the establishment of a Centre of Excellence in Construction & Infrastructure at MSU—creating meaningful, future-ready opportunities for youth, workers, and industry professionals. By combining CIDC’s extensive national network with MSU’s academic innovation, this alliance is poised to develop a skilled, certified, and globally competitive workforce for India’s rapidly evolving infrastructure landscape. Together, MSU and CIDC are laying a strong foundation to empower India’s next generation of construction and infrastructure professionals.

Held on campus, the program brought together employees from various departments for a full day of engagement, reflection, and skill-building—setting a strong foundation for future developmental initiatives at MSU. Organised by the HR team in partnership with the English Department, the session was thoughtfully designed to promote confidence, teamwork, and meaningful interaction. The day began with warm and energising icebreaking activities that enabled participants to connect with one another beyond their formal roles. These were followed by fun and dynamic team-building tasks that encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and collective participation. A series of interactive exercises further strengthened communication skills, helping participants understand the value of clarity, empathy, and active listening in a collaborative workspace. These activities not only enhanced interpersonal understanding but also fostered a positive, uplifting environment where ideas could be shared freely and respectfully. Throughout the program, facilitators offered insightful messages and reflections on workplace culture, professionalism, and the importance of continuous improvement. Emphasis was placed on building a cohesive work environment where staff feel supported, valued, and empowered to contribute their best. By the end of the session, participants walked away with renewed motivation, a stronger sense of unity, and valuable takeaways that can be applied in their day-to-day roles. The first SDP stands as a promising beginning to many such initiatives aimed at nurturing a vibrant, skilled, and growth-oriented workforce at Medhavi Skills University.

The session aimed to introduce students to the essential standards of personal presentation and professional conduct expected in the aviation and hospitality sectors. During the workshop, Ms. Hingmang shared clear and practical guidance on a range of topics, including grooming norms, effective communication, body posture, and professional behaviour. She highlighted how these fundamental practices contribute to creating strong first impressions, maintaining workplace discipline, and building confidence—qualities that are highly valued across customer-facing industries. Students gained a deeper understanding of how the aviation and hospitality industries operate, especially when it comes to maintaining consistency, personal discipline, and service excellence. By illustrating real-world examples from her professional journey, Ms. Hingmang helped students relate to the expectations of the workplace and recognise how small, everyday habits can positively influence their long-term career growth. The workshop proved to be an engaging and valuable learning experience. It offered students practical, actionable takeaways that they can apply as they prepare to enter the professional world. Overall, the session successfully reinforced the importance of grooming, etiquette, and professionalism as key components of a successful career in hospitality, tourism, and aviation.

We are proud to share that Mr. Sarma was invited as a distinguished panelist at the National Conference on “Skilling and Entrepreneurship for the Future: 25 Years of Promise”, organized by the Department of Skill Development & Employment, Government of Uttarakhand, in collaboration with SETU Aayog. During the conference, the Vice Chairman of SETU Aayog appreciated Mr. Sarma’s visionary leadership and highlighted Medhavi Skills University’s exemplary contribution to India’s skilling ecosystem. He noted that MSU is among the very few universities in India that have fully operationalized the vision of NEP 2020, truly integrating vocational education, industry-driven curriculum, and competency-based learning to build a future-ready workforce. As a keynote speaker, Mr. Sarma presented MSU’s groundbreaking Work-Integrated Learning model, which seamlessly connects classroom learning with real industry environments—empowering students to earn while they learn and gain hands-on experience aligned with emerging global opportunities.
