As part of their hands-on culinary training, students of Culinary Arts at Medhavi Skills University actively participated in a Food Production Practical Class focused on the different cuts of vegetables. During the session, students learned the techniques and terminology behind a variety of professional vegetable cuts such as Julienne, Macedonia, Brunoise, Paysanne, Jardinière, Château, Lorenza, Mirepoix, and more. The class emphasized the importance of precision, consistency, and knife-handling skills essential for any aspiring chef. Each cut was demonstrated by the instructor, followed by individual practice sessions where students honed their skills through repetition and guided feedback.

MSU has been formally recognized as an AWARDING BODY by NCVET (National Council for Vocational Education & Training), a regulatory body established by the Government of India for overseeing the quality of skill education and training in India. As a distinguished proponent of NEP (National Education Policy), 2020; MSU is now formally authorized to offer NSQF (National Skills Qualification Framework) aligned standalone or embedded skill development higher education programs with an officially recognized grading system powered by NCrF (National Credit Framework).

As part of their F&B Service practical, students of Medhavi Skills University transformed the Med Spice Café into a spooky and vibrant space with a creative Halloween-themed setup. From eerie decorations and ambient lighting to themed table settings, every detail reflected the spirit of Halloween. In addition to the décor, the students also curated a special Halloween menu, featuring creatively named dishes and drinks inspired by the occasion. The menu combined culinary creativity with service finesse, offering guests a unique and festive dining experience. This activity was not just about celebration—it served as a live learning module in event setup, menu planning, guest engagement, and thematic presentation. The hands-on experience helped students understand the intricacies of managing seasonal events in a real-time café setting.
