Over the next six months, students will immerse themselves in intensive, hands-on exposure to the operational dynamics of the hospitality sector. They will gain real-world experience in areas such as front office management, food and beverage service, housekeeping operations, customer engagement, and departmental coordination—allowing them to build professional competence and industry-ready skills.The placements include prestigious properties such as Taj Guras Kutir (4 students), Mayfair Spa & Resort (6 students), Club Mahindra Le Vintuna (1 student), Denzong Regency (1 student), and Sterling Orange Village (2 students). This achievement reflects MSU’s strong industry linkages and its mission to develop skilled, employabl,e and future-ready hospitality professionals.

Together, they will co-create the country’s first-ever holistic suite of academic and work-integrated programmes dedicated to Mall Management, setting a new benchmark for skilling in India’s rapidly expanding retail infrastructure sector. The MoU was formalised in the esteemed presence of Mr. Pravesh Dudani, Founder & Chancellor, MSU; Mr. Dalip Sehgal, Chief Executive Officer, Nexus Select Mall; Mr. Devender K. Saini, Group Chief Strategy Officer, MSU; and Mr. Rohan Vaswani, Chief Human Resources Officer, Nexus Select Malls, along with other distinguished dignitaries. The event marked the beginning of a transformative partnership designed to bridge the skill gap in one of India’s most dynamic service industries. Through this collaboration, MSU—alongside Nexus Select Trust—will skill and upskill frontline teams across Nexus Select Malls in 15 major cities. Leveraging MSU’s work-integrated learning model, learners will undergo rigorous professional training that blends academic instruction with hands-on industry exposure. With Nexus’ deep operational expertise, students will gain meaningful real-world learning through on-the-job training, problem-solving opportunities, live scenarios, and guided mentorship. This partnership not only provides structured pathways for career advancement within mall and retail operations but also redefines how India prepares talent for emerging urban service ecosystems. The session was designed to equip students with essential workplace behaviours that form the foundation of a confident and professional career journey. The workshop provided participants with valuable insights into building a strong professional presence, mastering the art of effective communication, and understanding the nuances of workplace etiquette that are critical across all industries. Through interactive discussions, real-life scenarios, and practical demonstrations, the session created a dynamic learning environment where attendees could actively engage and refine their interpersonal skills. One of the key highlights of the workshop was its focus on helping students understand how small gestures—such as appropriate greetings, mindful communication, body language, and respectful office conduct—can significantly influence professional relationships. The session also emphasized the importance of teamwork, adaptability, and maintaining a positive attitude in the workplace. The active participation, curiosity, and enthusiasm demonstrated by the students played a vital role in making the workshop a meaningful success. The tournament witnessed a series of intense and thrilling football matches, where teams competed with remarkable spirit, strategy, and sportsmanship. Cheered on by lively spectators, the players demonstrated exceptional skill and coordination, making each match a memorable highlight of the event. Beyond the field, the day also featured a colourful array of cultural performances that added rhythm and vibrancy to the celebration. Students presented dance, music, and creative acts that reflected the diverse cultural expressions across the MSU community. A powerful skit on the theme “Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign 3.0” took centre stage, spreading an important message on health and social responsibility. Through impactful storytelling and compelling performances, the skit encouraged students to adopt healthier lifestyles and contribute to building a tobacco-free campus environment.

This landmark partnership marks the beginning of a transformative journey aimed at reshaping the skilling ecosystem of one of India’s largest and fastest-growing sectors. The signing ceremony took place in the esteemed presence of Mr. Rajeev Jain, Senior Director (VT), CIDC; Mr. S. N. Murthy Vaddadi, Senior Director (Finance & Administration), CIDC; Mr. Onkareshwar Pandey, CEO – Golden Signatures; and Mr. Devender K. Saini, Group Chief Strategy Officer, MSU, along with other distinguished dignitaries. Through this collaboration, MSU and CIDC will jointly roll out large-scale skilling, upskilling, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) initiatives across the construction and infrastructure ecosystem. The partnership also opens pathways for work-integrated degree programmes, national apprenticeship opportunities, and the establishment of a Centre of Excellence in Construction & Infrastructure at MSU—creating meaningful, future-ready opportunities for youth, workers, and industry professionals. By combining CIDC’s extensive national network with MSU’s academic innovation, this alliance is poised to develop a skilled, certified, and globally competitive workforce for India’s rapidly evolving infrastructure landscape.
